Vincent X. Scott, Jr. | Vincent X. Scott, Jr. was born June 16 1920 to Vincent and Edith Stockton Scott, Sr. of Delanco; Sibling of Walter Scott. Vince married Betty Lou Henderson. He joined the US Army in 1939 just prior to WWII as a private or a corporal, assigned to Cannon Co, 114th Infantry Regiment, 44th Infantry Division as a 604 Light Machine Gunner. His main base was Fort Lewis Washington. Vincent was killed in action in France on February 16, 1945 and is buried with his family in the veteran's section of Memorial Cemetery in Beverly. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
